So I've been living with a cat for two months now. I was kind of prepared that I'd probably be allergic to cats as I get such strong reactions from dust. Well, that assumption turned out to be true. I have almost all of the symptoms you can find on Wikipedia. As the latest addition I have a gotten a rash on my right eyelid. But not to worry, I move out next weekend.
But what I did not expect was how living with a cat has changed my life.
Yeah, my internet-loving-television-centered life. My Fort of Solitude. The time normally spent alone is now time spent with the cat. The cat will sit next to me and we will share body heat. It will purr next to me and fall asleep. It will wait for me in the living room when I make food because it knows that I will eat it in on the couch. THE CAT WILL NOT TRY TO EAT MY BACON.
This part is a bit weird, as it is always trying to eat its owners food, but never mine. I'm more strict as I usually close her out of the room if she misbehaves. The owner just laughs which in turn I think encourages the cat to act inappropriately.
Anyway, I'm now completely looking forward to coming home and hanging out with the cat. Yeah, Miss does-an-aquarium-count-as-having-pets? is falling for a CAT.
But as said I'm allergic and as earlier stated I really don't have the time/money/commitment to have a cat of my own. Thankfully I'm ever so young so I have time to get a cat later. And later we will also have a cure for cat allergies, so later it is.
Later I would not mind having a cat. I would actually love to have one.
Try not to panic mother, later is not happening next week :D
Have a great weekend people!
